“Apart from all the smells and tastes, a visit to 1466 and Kronenbergerhof gives you a warm and familiar feeling, which you will remember for a long time and with great enthusiasm. 1466 and Kronenbergerhof are places where people can meet, relax and connect. Where people can have real (face-to-face) contact again and, very accessible, have time and attention for each other and delicious drinks and food. Here we work with a team of employees who work with sincere attention for and interest in the guest, products and services. Employees who work here after a thorough training period are without exception enthusiastic hospitality toppers”

The Hemelrit, a cherished tradition among vintage two-wheeler enthusiasts, is a group ride for mopeds, motorbikes, and scooters with roller drive systems, all manufactured before 1975. This ride takes place annually on Ascension Day. On that day, the mopeds depart at 10:30 a.m. from the church square in Kronenberg for a journey of approximately 90 kilometers. At 11:00 a.m., the motorbikes and scooters begin their slightly longer route. The 2025 edition concluded at Grand Café 1466, where Frank Laenen and his team were already waiting for us—with a warm smile, refreshing drinks, and delicious snacks. The perfect moment to unwind and enjoy some friendly banter.
The weather clearly had other plans for us— the sky turned completely overcast and the rain came pouring down. Holding the concert outdoors was no longer an option, so we moved everything inside. Despite the rain we managed to make
something beautiful out of it. In the kitchen of Grand Café 1466, they pulled out all the stops to serve a four-course meal on location. Despite the rain, it turned into a wonderfully enjoyable afternoon.
